New Northland Events Centre Hosts its First International

by Editor

In front of 17,178 spectators at the Northland Events Centre, Canada played with great composure yesterday to come back from being 13-20 down with 16 minutes remaining to beat Tonga 25-20.

Canada is ranked No. 14 by the International Rugby Board. And despite being the lowest-ranked team among the five sides in Pool A of the Rugby World Cup, which includes New Zealand, France, Japan and Tonga, they did not disappoint.
